  1. Who can get a VanLink van?  

    You must be associated with an agency or organization that work with the disabled, low income, or other that have special transportation needs.
     
  2. What are the requirements to become a driver?

    You must be at least 21 years of age, a good driving record for the past three years, and complete a driver orientation given by Kitsap Transit.
     
  3. How much does it cost?

    Each passenger must buy a monthly bus pass.  The agency is required to monitor the bus passes, record them on a log sheet and forward it to Kitsap Transit once a month.
     
  4. Can VanLink drivers use the van for personal use?

    No.  The van is not to be used for personal use.
     
  5. What happens if the van breaks down?

    The agency would be responsible for contacting the Kitsap Transit maintenance department.  They will arrange a trade-out as soon as possible to make sure there will be little to no disruption for your clients.
     
  6. What are the driver's responsibilities?

    It is their responsibility to make sure the van is kept clean inside and out, and for fueling of the van.  They must also complete their paperwork in a timely manner.  Most importantly, they are responsible for the safety of the passengers.
     
  7. What does Kitsap Transit provide?

    Kitsap Transit provides the vans, fuel, maintenance, van washing locations, insurance and driver orientation.
