When snowy winter weather hits, Kitsap Transit takes measures to avoid hilly and historically tough-to-travel roads. For each routed bus we operate, we've identified areas that can't safely be served in poor weather. The "snow routes" listed below will go in effect when regular routes are unsafe to travel. If your bus is on a snow route or a route deviation, it will be highlighted below in yellow. When it is snowing, we try our best to keep on schedule, however, please expect some delays. Click on the route you are interested in to see its snow route.

Registered ACCESS service riders should call 1-800-422-2877, check the ACCESS Snow Service page or listen to local news for announcements of service interruptions or suspension due to adverse weather conditions.
If service is suspended for safety reasons, ACCESS may still be available for emergency services such as trips to critical medical appointments or to pick up prescriptions, groceries and food bank items. ACCESS will make every effort to provide service to registered riders who notify us that their trips are essential. Please note, however, that ACCESS staff will make the final decision regarding whether a trip can be provided safely.
Worker/Driver buses generally operate in snowy weather. Many buses operate a modified route and may run late. Current riders can contact their driver for information on route and time modifications before bad weather hits. New Worker/Driver riders can call 1-800-501-7433 for snow route information. Worker/Driver riders are also encouraged to check their base website for information about delays or closures. Worker/Driver buses will plan service times around the schedule of the base.
Vanpool riders should contact their driver for information about snow modifications.
