  1. What does ACCESS service cost the user?  Many users qualify for reduced fare programs. See Fares Schedule for details.
     

  2. Can the Operator come into my home and help me into my wheelchair?  No. The Operators are unable to enter residences to assist passengers into or out of their wheelchairs. The Operator’s responsibility is to escort passengers from the door of the residence to the bus. If you are in need of assistance inside your home, please contact our office and we can refer you to local agencies that provide services inside the home.
     

  3. Do I have to give a return time when I go to the Doctor's Office?  Your doctor's office should be able to help you estimate the length of time you'll need.  Your return trip will be scheduled when you call in your reservation.  Some will-call trips will be allowed for passengers who reside in the same area as the medical office they are visiting.
     

  4. I just broke my leg and need immediate transportation to my doctor’s appointments. However, the application process takes up to 21 days. How do I arrange for immediate transportation?  For individuals needing immediate transportation due to an unforeseen condition, Kitsap Transit ACCESS is able to provide temporary eligibility. An application is then sent to you to complete. The 21 day waiting period would be waived.
     

  5. Where can I go on on ACCESSKitsap Transit ACCESS provides transportation to many locations within Kitsap County. If you are fully eligible to ride and ACCESS serves your location, you could use ACCESS to go shopping, visit friends, or even go to work.
     

  6. What hours is the reservation line open?  The Kitsap Transit ACCESS reservation line is open from 8:00am to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday and most Holidays.
     

  7. What hours is the ACCESS Service available?  Service hours vary by the area you live. For information on the hours the ACCESS service is available in your area, please call the reservation line at (360) 479-7272 or 1-800-422-2877.
